Pedestrian dies in hospital after Preston collision

A 76-year-old woman died in hospital after she was struck by a truck in Preston last week.

The collision occurred near the intersection of Bell Street and Gilbert Street about 10.30am on Wednesday 10 May.

A Collingwood woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she died on 12 May.

The driver of the truck, a 50-year-old Fawkner man, was not injured and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
