Pedestrian struck by cyclist at Camperdown, NSW

A man and woman are in hospital following a collision between a bike and a pedestrian in Sydney’s inner-west this morning.

About 7.30am (Tuesday 25 February 2020), emergency services were called to Parramatta Road, Camperdown following reports that a woman had been struck by a cyclist as she crossed the road.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and treated a woman for a head injury before she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.

The male cyclist was also treated before being transported to the same hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command closed westbound lanes on Parramatta Road and established a crime scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.

All lanes have now been re-opened.
