Perth Market Snapshot for week ending 23 August 2020

Sales activity increased 19 per centin Perth this week, with REIWA members reporting 834 transactions.

This increase can be attributed to a14 per cent rise in house sales, 39 per cent rise in unit sales and 26 per centrise in vacant land sales over the week.

Properties for sale

There were 10,807 properties for sale in Perth at the end of this week, which is inline with last week.

A closer look at listing stock levelsshows house listings decreased by two per cent, listings for units increased bytwo per cent and listings for vacant land increased by two per cent.

This week’s total figure is one per cent higher than levels seen four weeksago, but are 24 per cent lower than levels seen a year ago.

Perth rental market

REIWA members reported there were3,314 properties for rent in Perth at the end of this week, which is one per cent less than last week.

This week’s rental listings figure is11 per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and are 51 per cent lowerthan levels seen a year ago.
