The NSW Police Force will have a highly visible presence across the entire Sydney region this weekend ahead of upcoming public assemblies.
As part of Operation Shelter, police will conduct the operation to ensure the safety and security of all community members.
The police operation will include officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, who will have a visible presence on roads across Sydney.
The NSW Police Force recognises and supports the rights of individuals and groups to exercise their rights of free speech and peaceful assembly, however, the first priority for NSW Police is always the safety and security of the wider community.
Officers from Operation Shelter will be in the CBD on Sunday (12 November 2023) with public assemblies planned across the day.
