Police appeal for information: Indecent assault investigation in Caboolture, QLD

Caboolture Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives have released a comfit of a man who may be able to assist with investigations following the assault of a teenage girl in Caboolture in late May.

Around 7pm on Tuesday May 30, a 17-year-old girl was walking on a pathway that runs between Tucker and Goshawk Streets, when she was inappropriately grabbed by a man who is not known to her.

The girl was able to run away a short distance to safety and the man fled the scene by running down a drainage easement further along the path.

Extensive police patrols and further inquiries have failed to locate the man.

He is described as around 185-195cm tall with a muscular build and was wearing a black hoodie and black long pants.

Anyone who recognises the man, who is believed to frequent the area and may have observed similar behaviour, or has further information is urged to contact police.

Support has been provided to the teenager and investigations are ongoing.

Detectives, along with general duties officers, have ensured extensive ongoing patrols of the area.
