Police appeal for public help: Armed robbery in Rockville, QLD

Queensland Police are appealing for information and a key witness to come forward following an armed robbery in Rockville in Toowoomba on Sunday, April 16.

Initial investigations indicate around 3pm, a woman has gained access to a Kettle Street residence, confronting a resident with a knife, before making demands for keys to a Nissan Navara parked at the property.

The victim, who was not physically injured, complied.

The woman then attempted to drive away in the vehicle before a nearby witness intervened, stopping her. The woman then fled on foot towards Makepeace Street.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam or CCTV vision of the area at the time are asked to come forward.

The woman involved in the incident is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 20 to 25 years of age, with a slim build and red hair. She was also seen wearing a black cropped top, a black skirt and white shoes.

Detectives also appeal to the driver of a light blue Toyota Corolla hatchback (pictured), who may have interacted with the women on Makepeace Street to come forward as a witness. Investigations are ongoing.
