Police Appeal To Locate Man Missing From Stanmore 6 March

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney’s Inner West.

Joaquim Caridade, aged 86, was last seen on Temple Street, Stanmore, about 3am today (Wednesday 6 March 2024).

When he could not be located, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his age.

Joaquim is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall with medium build, and grey hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue pyjama shirt, blue pyjama pants and black slippers.

He is known to frequent the Stanmore and Leichhardt areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
