Police appeal to locate siblings missing from Lilyfield

Police are seeking public assistance to locate two missing siblings from Sydney’s Inner west.

Leilani Boney, 14 and her brother Shapaul Boney, 12, were last seen at a home on Francis Street, Lilyfield, about 3pm on Tuesday 16 May 2023.

When they did not return home, the siblings were reported missing to officers from Leichhardt Police Area Command who commenced an investigation into their whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for their welfare due to their age.

Leilani is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, about 130cm tall, with a thin build.

She was last seen wearing all black clothing.

Shapaul is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, about 130cm tall, thin build, with short brown hair and a rat’s tail.

He was last seen wearing brown chino pants, a black puffer jacket, and black and red Asics trainers.

Anyone with information about the siblings’ whereabouts is urged to contact Glebe Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
