Police appeal to locate woman missing from Queens Park

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing in Sydney’s east.

Maria Davids, aged 67, was last seen at a home on Newland Street, Queens Park, about 9am today (Saturday 16 September 2023), when she left to go for a walk.

When she failed to return and could not be located, officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were notified and commenced a search to locate her.

As part of inquiries, police have received information that Maria attended a home on Mort Street, Randwick, about 4:30pm this afternoon.

Maria lives with dementia and may appear confused or disoriented. Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare.

She is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 160cm tall, with shoulder length blonde hair.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time.

Maria is known to go on long walks, frequenting the Queens Park, Centennial Park, and Bondi areas.
