Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Clarkes Hill this morning.
It is believed two vehicles collided at the intersection on Ballarat-Daylesford Road and Boundary Church Road about 6.30am.
The male driver and sole occupant of the utility, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the wagon was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
