Major Collision Investigation Unit members are investigating a fatal collision in Tarneit last night.
It is believed a van and a car collided at a roundabout on Tarneit Road around 11.30pm.
Sadly, the male driver and sole occupant of the van, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
The male driver and a male passenger in the car were not seriously injured and were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
