Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Squad are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Lake Muir yesterday, Wednesday 28 December 2022.
Around 12:30pm, a white Toyota Echo was driving north west on South Western Highway, near Lower Shannon Road, when it struck a tree.
The 31-year-old male driver of the vehicle died from his injuries at the scene.
A 23-year-old female passenger was airlifted to RPH with serious injuries.
Major Crash investigators are conducting an examination of the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au
