Police are responding to serious crash in West Ryde

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a serious crash in West Ryde overnight.

About 10.40pm (Saturday 14 December 2019), emergency services were called to Victoria Road, near West Parade, West Ryde, after reports a Nissan Silvia and a Toyota Camry have collided head-on.

The male driver of the Nissan Silvia, and his female passenger were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment.

The male driver of the Toyota Camry and his female passenger were also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit are on scene investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Victoria Road westbound and eastbound will remain closed for several hours while the scene is being examined.
