Police are responding to serious crash – Wandina

Geraldton Detectives have charged a woman as a result of a serious crash that occurred in Wandina on Thursday, 26 September 2019.

It will be alleged around 6.40pm, a woman driving a silver Holden Captiva (Victorian registration) north on Brand Highway has swerved into oncoming traffic and collided with a silver Toyota Land Cruiser. As a result of the crash the Holden Captiva further collided with a black Nissan Navara.

The 31-year-old driver of the black Nissan Navara received serious non-life threatening injuries and her two passengers, a 3year and 4years received minor injuries.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser received lacerations and his 18-year-old female passenger minor injuries.

The 33 year old female driver of the Holden Captiva received serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A 33-year-old Mahomets Flats woman was charged with:

• With intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm (x2)

• Dangerous driving causing bodily harm – in circumstances of aggravation and,

• Reckless driving.

She appeared in the Geraldton Magistrates Court today 27 September 2019 and she will reappear on 3 October 2019.
