Police arrest four after Westmeadows home invasion

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested four men following a home invasion in Westmeadows Sunday evening, 9 January.

Investigators have been told four offenders entered a home through an open door on Ardlie Street around 8.45pm.

Once inside the premises the offenders allegedly stole the victim’s car keys before they were disturbed by the victim.

The offenders fled the scene and were arrested by police a short distance away.

The victim was uninjured.

A 19-year-old Broadmeadows man and an 18-year-old Meadow Heights man have both been charged with home invasion, theft and assaults.

Both males are expected to be been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday 10 January.

A 19-year-old Meadow Heights man and a 20-year-old Broadmeadows man were released pending further enquiries.
