Four youths were arrested after abandoning a stolen car at Brooklyn Park last night.
About 10pm on Tuesday 15 September, police were patrolling on Anzac Highway at Plympton when they spotted a stolen silver Honda sedan. The Honda had been reported stolen from a Woodville home on Monday night.
The vehicle was followed as it headed north on Marion Road before it was lost sight of.
It was seen again a short time later in Brooklyn Park before it drove into a dead end at Allen Street, and four people ran off.
Patrols set up cordons around the area and with assistance from PolAir and Dog Operations Unit, police arrested four youths.
An 11-year-old boy from Pooraka, a 14-year-old boy from Warradale, a 15-year-old boy from Andrews Farm and a 17-year-old boy from Devon Park were charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle. The 15-year-old boy was also charged with driving unlicenced.
