Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a serious stabbing in Epping last night.
Emergency services were called to reports of a 49-year-old man located with stab wounds near a McDonalds Road skate park shortly before 11pm.
The Reservoir man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested a 32-year-old man at the scene.
The Epping man will be interviewed this morning in relation to the incident.
Investigators will allege the incident was a targeted attack.
