A 46-year-old man was arrested following a pursuit in Melton this afternoon.
A grey Holden sedan was seen driving erratically on Bridge Road in Melton South when police attempted to intercept the vehicle about 1.20pm.
The driver failed to pull over and a pursuit was initiated.
The Holden was pursued to Yuille Street in Melton where the driver stopped and attempted to run from police when he was arrested about 2pm.
A Melton West man is currently in custody.
Police would like to thank all members of the community taking safe action on the roads at the time.
Melton police are investigating and are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have been in the area at the time with dash-cam footage.
