Homicide Squad detectives have arrested a teenage boy today as part of their ongoing investigation into a fatal stabbing in Sunshine yesterday.
The 17-year-old Caroline Springs boy was arrested in Braybrook earlier today and is being interviewed by police.
Investigators are continuing to search for at least two more males believed to be involved in the incident and are urging them to come forward and make contact with police.
Emergency services were called to Station Place about 3.45pm on 18 May after reports of an altercation and stabbing.
A 16-year-old Melton South male was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Two other 16-year-old boys were also injured, with one taken to hospital and one treated at the scene.
Detectives are still working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident and the motivation for the altercation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
They are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone who has mobile phone, dash cam or CCTV footage of the incident.
