Two teenagers have been arrested following a robbery at Port Adelaide last night.
About 10.15pm on Friday 18 September, police were patrolling along Grand Junction Road when they saw two males running from a service station. One of the males dropped a baseball bat as he ran off.
As Western District police responded to search the area, they received information that a robbery had just occurred. The two males entered the service station armed with a bat and a knife and allegedly threatened staff before stealing cash from the till.
The service station attendant was assaulted and sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Police Dog Edge assisted in the search and located one offender hiding in the front yard of a home on Wellington Street and the second underneath a car in a nearby alleyway.
A 15-year-old boy from Oakden and a 14-year-old boy from Marino were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. The 14-year-old was further charged with possessing a prohibited weapon. They will appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on 12 November.
