Police arrest woman in CBD, South Australia

A woman has been arrested after she was spotted carrying a knife in Rundle Mall this morning.

About 11.30am on Thursday 16 June, Eastern District patrols were called to Rundle Mall after reports a woman was behaving in a disorderly manner. Rundle Mall security staff approached the woman and she produced a knife and threatened them. Security followed her into the mall and contacted police.

Patrols were quickly on scene and the woman approached police who tasered her.

The 36-year-odl woman from Blackwood was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she will be assessed and on her release she will likely be charged with carrying an offensive weapon and assault.
