Police car rammed in Braybrook

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man after a police car was rammed in Braybrook last month.

Police attempted to intercept a stolen blue Holden Commodore sedan on Garden Drive just before 1.30am on Sunday 12 June.

The driver failed to pull over and rammed the driver’s side door of the police car before fleeing the scene.

No one was injured.

It is believed the same vehicle was involved in a number of petrol drive offs in Hallam, Kealba and Spotswood areas and stole more than $300 worth of petrol.

Investigators have released images of a man that may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged 25 to 40-years-old with a solid build.
