Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged four people after they allegedly evaded police north-west of Melbourne early this morning.
It is alleged the Dog Squad attempted to intercept a blue Commodore sedan on Pascoe Vale Road in Glenroy, when the driver failed to stop just before 4am.
Police followed the vehicle, travelling at excessive speeds, through suburbs including Glenroy, Coburg and Meadow Heights.
The vehicle stopped in Catterick Court Greenvale, when four occupants attempted to run from the scene.
All four people were arrested with the assistance of the Dog Squad and Rocky the police dog.
An 18-year-old Meadow Heights man has been charged with theft of motor car reckless conduct endanger serious injury, dangerous driving whilst pursued by police, fail to stop on police direction and committing offences whilst upon bail.
He has been remanded to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on Monday 26 August.
A 20-year-old Meadow Heights woman has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and committing offences whilst upon bail.
She has been remanded to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 26 August 2019.
A 20-year-old Glenroy woman has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on 31 October.
A 20-year-old Meadow Heights man had been charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at the Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on 31 October.
