Police charge four teens after Toorak aggravated burglary

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged four youths following an aggravated burglary in Toorak yesterday.

It’s alleged the four boys forced entry into a house on Vista Grove in Toorak just after 6am.

Once inside they stole car keys and a grey 2021 Mercedes sedan.

The offenders allegedly fled the scene in the stolen Mercedes which was then followed by police and Airwing.

Stop sticks were deployed before the vehicle was dumped at the corner of Huntingdale Road and Oak Park Drive in Mount Waverley.

The group were arrested nearby about 8.30am.

A 14-year-old Mooroopna boy has been charged with aggravated burglary, two counts of theft of motor vehicle and theft.

He has been bailed to appear at a children’s court at a later date.

Three teens have been remanded to appear at a children’s court at a later date and have been charged with various offences including –

– A 16-year-old Mooroopna boy has been charged with 17 offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, reckless conduct endanger life and dangerous or negligent driving while pursued by police.

– A 15-year-old Mooroopna boy has been charged with 15 offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle, theft and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

– A 14-year-old Mornington boy has been charged with eight offences including aggravated burglary, theft of motor vehicle and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
