Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man today following the death of a woman in Bacchus Marsh earlier this week.
A 75-year-old Bacchus Marsh man was arrested at the scene and conveyed to hospital under police guard.
He was charged with murder this afternoon and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this evening.
The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports a woman had been located deceased inside a property in Connor Street about 3.30am on Wednesday, 26 August.
A 41-year-old woman from Bacchus Marsh, was located deceased at the scene.
Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other.
