Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of another man in Corio earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to a property on Chaffey Square following reports of a firearm being discharged about 4.50am on Saturday 4 July.
The victim, a 39-year-old Corio man was taken to hospital however he died as a result of his injuries.
A 36-year-old Corio man has been charged with one count of murder.
He has been remanded and will appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
