Homicide Squad detectives have charged a Lara man with murder following the death of another man in Lara early this morning.
The 49-year-old will be held over to appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court for a filing hearing on Tuesday 11 February 2020.
The charges follow a call to police that a man had been found with stab wounds in Patullos Road on Monday 10 February just after midnight.
Paramedics worked on the 41-year-old man however he died at the scene.
Another man arrested, a 45-year-old from Lara, has been released from custody.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
