Police charge man after Malvern agg burg

Police have charged a 19-year-old man following an aggravated burglary in Malvern yesterday.

It’s alleged an offender entered the home on Finlayson Street about 3.30am on 26 July.

One of the occupants of the home, a 77-year-old woman was woken by the offender.

It’s alleged the man fled and the woman discovered car keys, electronics and credit cards had been stolen.

The Malvern man was arrested about 3.45 Sunday afternoon after police executed a warrant in Finlayson Street and recovered allegedly stolen items.

He has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, commit indictable offence whilst on bail, and possess prescription medication.

The Malvern man has been remanded to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates’ Court on 24 August.
