Police charge man after money-laundering investigation in Glendenning

A man will face court today charged as part of ongoing investigations into money laundering.

Last year, the State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad established Strike Force Berenice to investigate a money-laundering operation based in Sydney’s west.

As as result of inquiries, strike force investigators have seized nearly $600,000 cash and laid charges against a 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. Both remain before the courts.

Following further investigations, Organised Crime Squad detectives attended a business in Glendenning and arrested a 33-year-old man.

He was taken to Riverstone Police Station where he was charged with recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime.

The man was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Monday 9 November 2020).

Inquiries under Strike Force Berenice continue.
