Police Charge Man Over Drug Supply At Coolac

A man has been charged following the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in the state’s Riverina region.

About 10am today (Thursday 3 September 2026), officers attached to Riverina Highway Patrol were conducting stationary random breath testing on the Hume Highway, Coolac.

Police stopped a vehicle and spoke with the driver and sole occupant, a 27-year-old man.

During the interaction, police conducted a search of the vehicle. It will be alleged that officers located and seized more than 500 grams of MDMA within the vehicle.

The 27-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gundagai Police Station where he was charged by detectives attached to Riverina Police District with supply prohibited drug more than large commercial quantity and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and will appear before Bail Division Court 5 tomorrow (Friday 4 September 2026).
