A man has been arrested following an investigation into a series of offences across Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
Police will allege that between Thursday 3 September and Wednesday 16 September, a man committed a number of thefts and break-ins across the northern suburbs. During this period, he also allegedly assaulted a member of the public with a rubber mallet during an incident at a shopping centre on Peachey Road, Munno Para, on 3 September.
Northern District police have been investigating the offending and allegedly linked a 31-year-old Davoren Park man to the incidents.
About 4.50pm on Thursday 17 September, officers attended a unit complex in Salisbury North to locate the man. It will be alleged that when police arrived, he attempted to evade arrest by climbing a rear fence but was quickly apprehended.
The Davoren Park man was charged with two counts of serious criminal trespass, affray, nine counts of theft, illegal interference with a motor vehicle and driving while disqualified.
He was refused police bail and appeared in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Friday 18 September.
Police are seeking assistance to identify the man who was allegedly assaulted during the shopping centre incident on 3 September.
