Police charge man with attempted arson of Goodwood house

Police have charged a 51-year-old man with the attempted arson of a Goodwood house last night.

Around 8.25pm police and emergency services responded to multiple Triple Zero calls regarding a fire at a house on Renfrew Circle.

Tasmania Fire Service attended and extinguished three separate fires at the property, one in the front yard, one on the driveway at the side of the house, and one near the rear door of the house.

The fires were determined to have been deliberately lit.

Minor damage was caused to the front and rear of the house.

No one was injured.

Police have charged a 51-year-old man from Goodwood with attempted arson. He will appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
