Police charge man with high-range drink driving in Revesby

A man has been charged with a drink-driving offence after he allegedly drove his car on the wrong side of the road toward incoming traffic in Revesby yesterday.

About 8.45pm (Saturday 19 October 2019), police received reports of a Nissan Tida being driven erratically on the River Road, Revesby.

Police were further told the vehicle had failed to remain within its lane and at one point crossed onto the wrong side of the road toward incoming vehicles.

Officers attached to Bankstown Traffic and Highway Patrol Command responded and stopped the vehicle on Doyle Road, Revesby, and submitted the driver to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Revesby Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.290.

The 27-year-old Revesby man was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive with high-range PCA.

He is due to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 21 November 2019.
