A man has been charged with a domestic related murder following an investigation by Campbelltown City Police Area Command into the death of a woman at Glenfield earlier this year.
About 9.20am on Monday 21 September 2020, emergency services attended a house in Glenfield following reports an unconscious 66-year-old woman had been found inside.
Shortly after 9.30am, police attended a single-vehicle collision on Glenfield Road where a car had collided with a concrete wall. The 67-year-old driver – and sole occupant – was treated at the scene before being transported to Liverpool Hospital with serious chest and leg injuries.
The woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition and died the following day (Tuesday 22 September 2020).
An investigation into the incident commenced by Campbelltown City Police Area Command and yesterday (Tuesday 10 November 2020), officers attended Liverpool Hospital and charged 67-year-old man with murder.
He was refused bail and is expected to participate in a bed side hearing today (Wednesday 11 November 2020).
