Police charge man with numerous driving and motoring offences in North Parramatta

A man has been charged with numerous driving and motoring offences in Sydney’s west yesterday.

About 1.55pm (Monday 3 February 2020), a man driving a silver Toyota Corolla hatchback was stopped on Victoria Road, Parramatta by officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command after they noticed his registration plate had been allegedly altered with electrical tape.

Following enquiries, police established the man was a disqualified provisional driver, the car he was driving was unregistered and the car’s plates were allegedly stolen.

He was arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station where he was charged with license expired less than 2 years – prior offence, unregistered motor vehicle, larceny, goods in custody and displaying altered registration plates.

The 38-year-old Ermington man was refused bail and is due to attend Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 4 February 2020).
