Police charge teens after Melbourne CBD stabbing

One of the teens allegedly stabbed the man, before all fleeing on foot and on scooters.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the stabbing the teens allegedly committed further offences in Bendigo and Fitzroy between 22-25 March.

A 16-year-old Fitzroy boy has been charged with:

• attempted robbery

• 2 x intentionally cause injury

• 2 x recklessly cause injury

• assault in company

• aggravated burglary

• 2 x theft of motor vehicle

• affray

• assault with weapon

• attempted armed robbery

• 2 x theft

• robbery

• threat to inflict serious injury

• burglary

• commit indictable offence whilst on bail

A 16-year-old Richmond boy has been charged with:

• assault with weapon

• 2 x common law assault

• theft

• attempted armed robbery

• robbery

• assault by kicking

A 17-year-old Bendigo girl has been charged with:

• 2 x theft of motor vehicle

• common law assault

• unlawful assault

• theft from shop

• commit indictable offence whilst on bail

A 15-year-old Bendigo boy has been charged with:

• theft

All will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
