Police charge two men after Toorak aggravated burglary

Stonnington Crime Investigation unit detectives have charged two men following an alleged aggravated burglary in Toorak last night.

It is alleged that a Porsche and Aston Martin were stolen during the aggravated burglary in Grant Avenue just before 8.30pm.

A 64-year-old man, home at the time was not injured.

Police tracked the 2018 Porsche 911 GT to Boronia where stop sticks were successfully utilised to arrest the two offenders.

Detectives charged a 20-year-old man with aggravated burglary, theft, attempted theft, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving whilst disqualified and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

The Heathmont man was remanded in custody and appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning where he was further remanded until 5 May.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with trespassing, theft of motor vehicle, attempted theft of motor vehicle, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, committing an indictable offence while on bail and breaching his bail conditions.

The Narre Warren man was remanded in custody and appeared before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning where he was further remanded until 5 May.

Police located the 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish, about 4am in Sharyn Street, Cranbourne.
