Police charge woman after crash in Concord

A woman will face court next month charged over a serious crash in Sydney’s Inner West.

About 12.45pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 November 2022), emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a motor vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Crane and Broughton Streets, Concord.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 29-year-old male motorcycle rider at the scene before he was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene that was later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

The 63-year-old female motor vehicle driver was taken to Concord Hospital for mandatory testing.

She was later taken to Burwood Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning GBH – drive manner dangerous, negligent driving and not stop at stop line at red light.

The Concord woman was granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday 13 December 2022.

Her licence has been suspended.
