Police charge youth over Craigieburn assault

Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 17-year-old boy following an assault at the Craigieburn Railway Station yesterday (19 February).

Police were called to Potter St about 4.20pm following reports of an assault.

It is believed the victim and the teenager were involved in an altercation on a train a short time prior to the assault.

They both got off the train and the victim, a man aged in his 30s, was allegedly assaulted in the bus bay area.

The 17-year-old Craigieburn boy has been charged with recklessly cause serious injury, commit indictable offence while on bail and possess a drug of dependence.
