Police Charge Youth With Clarendon Vale Robbery

A 16-year-old male youth from New Norfolk has been charged after an incident in Clarendon Vale yesterday.

It will be alleged that around 2:45am on Sunday 10th March 2024, the youth threatened a rideshare driver with a knife in Clarendon Vale and attempted to steal money from him. The rideshare driver managed to flee without suffering any physical injury.

Police located the youth today in Rosny Park, where it’s further alleged he assaulted and resisted police.

The youth was later charged with numerous matters, including attempted aggravated armed robbery, burglary, stealing x4 and offences against police.

The youth has been detained to appear in court this evening.

This incident was isolated and there is no threat to the wider community.
