Police investigate after man stabbed in Pyrmont

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Pyrmont overnight.

About 12.25am (Tuesday 15 January 2019), emergency services were called to a house on Little Mount Street, Pyrmont, following reports of an assault.

Police have been told two men – aged 25 and 32 – who are known to each other, were involved in an altercation, before the older man was stabbed.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The 25-year-old-man was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station to assist with inquiries.

The 32-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal Prince Alfred hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Investigations continue.
