Police are investigating the armed robbery of a teenager at Coolangatta last night.
Around 9.40pm (Monday, September 23), the 17-year-old Tweed Heads boy was walking home along Marine Parade after work when a vehicle has stopped beside him and a male passenger exited the vehicle.
The male produced a knife, made threats and demanded the boy’s property.
The teen handed over an iPhone XR, Airpod earphones, clothing items, jewellery and cash, before the male re-entered the vehicle and drove away.
The teen was not injured during the armed robbery.
The vehicle is described as white, similar to a Holden Astra, with red P-plates displayed in the rear-passenger window.
The male is described as in his late teens, around 168cm tall with a slim build and moustache. He was wearing a ‘North Face’ puffer jacket, dark clothing and black shoes at the time of the robbery.
Investigations continue.
