Police investigate armed robbery at Currajong

Detectives are appealing for assistance to identify two males involved in an armed robbery at Currajong last night, Thursday August 26.

Around 8.15pm two teenage boys were walking near the intersection of Reardon and Howlett streets when they were approached by the pair, with one male producing a bladed weapon and demanding money and property.

The two fifteen year old boys complied, handing over a large grey Fluid Nitro mountain bike with yellow ‘Maxxis’ branding on the rear wheel, jewellery and a sum of money.

The victims weren’t physically injured during the robbery.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward, or anyone who may know the identify of the two males, describes as Aboriginal, aged in their late teens and wearing dark tracksuits and jumpers. Anonymous reports can be made.
