Police investigate armed robbery at South Brisbane

Detectives from Dutton Park are seeking public assistance following an armed robbery at a South Brisbane business last night (January 27).

Initial investigations indicate that at approximately 9.45pm a man entered the Grey Street store armed with a blue-coloured knife.

He demanded money from the employee who complied, and was last seen leaving the business on foot, towards Vulture Street.

The man is described as between 20 to 30-years-of-age, Caucasian, slim build with an Australian accent.

He was wearing black shoes, black trousers, a long sleeved red and grey checked shirt, a black baseball cap and covered his face using a white shirt.

The man also appeared to have an injured left foot as he was wearing a brace over his sock.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man in the area last night, or who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact them.

Investigations are ongoing.
