Police investigate attempted armed robbery at Redcliffe 14 April

Police are seeking assistance to identify a man who attempted to rob a Redcliffe grocery store overnight.

Just before 7.30pm, a man entered the Victoria Avenue store armed with a large knife and threatened two female attendants aged 41 and 59.

They threw custard at the man who then ran from the store, west along Crawford Avenue.

No items were stolen and the women were not physically injured.

The man is described as having a solid build, around 180cm tall with a Pacific Island or New Zealand accent.

Anyone with information that could identify the man or his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
