Police are investigating after a man was attacked by a group of offenders in an attempted armed robbery in Chadstone last week.
Investigators have been told the 19-year-old Chadstone man was walking along Power Avenue when three men, including one armed with a knife, exited a 2007 black Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet and approached him about 2.25pm on 9 July.
The victim was assaulted by the three male offenders before the group was startled by a passing white Holden Commodore and fled the scene.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was assisted by the female driver of the Commodore.
Investigators are appealing for this woman to contact police.
Detectives would also like to speak to anyone else who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist police with their enquiries.
