Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a teenager in Coburg North overnight.
The boy was assaulted with an edged weapon on Elizabeth Street just before 2.30am on Sunday, 13 March.
Despite the best effort of emergency services, he died at the scene.
Police have established a crime scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
