Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted in a car in East Melbourne in last month.
Investigators have been told the 25-year-old Maidstone woman was approached by an unknown man offering her a lift, near the intersection of Flinders and Swanston Street at around 5am on 22 February.
It is believed the male drove to the woman to the East Melbourne area where she was assaulted.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and have released an image of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The woman did not receive any physical injuries as a result of the incident.
