Police are investigating following a collision in Fitzroy North this evening which left a cyclist with critical injuries.
It’s understood a Porsche struck a cyclist near the intersection of St Georges Road and Park Street about 4.15pm.
The female cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Porsche, a 39-year-old man from Queensland, was not injured.
He was taken to hospital under police guard.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives and local police continue to investigate.
