Police investigate hit-run crash at Carnegie

Moorabbin Highway Patrol are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following a hit-run crash at Carnegie early this morning.

It is believed a blue Subaru Impreza was travelling south on Grange Road when the driver lost control just before 5am.

The Subaru, with stolen registration plates, crashed into a stationary vehicle before hitting a brick wall.

The male driver believed to be aged 30 to 40-years-old received life-threatening injuries and is yet to be identified.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with sandy blond hair, 183cm tall with a medium to solid build and has tattoos on both arms.

It is also believed a male passenger from the Subaru ran from the scene before police arrival.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen the Subaru driving erratically prior to the crash.
